JOB ADVERT- SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR (01 VACANCY)
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Bulyanhulu Gold Mine is seeking to recruit a Security Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate for this position is expected to align to the Barrick DNA and drive a change within his/her team and the business and on a practical note will ensure activities in the Asset Protection Department are effectively planned and undertaken in a safe and cost-effective manner to achieve targets in accordance with BGML Mining Safety Standards, Policies, and Procedures.
Reporting to: Security Superintendent
Duration: Permanent
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to own and lead the journey to zero and walk the floor to deliver a safety culture across the site.
- Ensure compliance with access control policies and procedures.
- Manage and maintain security-related systems and ensure accurate data input into security databases.
- Coordinate security screening process for onboarding employees, ensuring all necessary tasks, including paperwork, are completed.
- Supervise visitor management processes, including registration and provisional visitor badges.
- Manage access control measures to ensure only authorized personnel can enter designated areas.
- Regularly reviewing data entry processes to ensure accuracy and consistency in data recording.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information. Organize and manage company files, records, and documents both in physical and digital formats.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring a clean, organized, and productive work environment. This includes maintaining office supplies, equipment, and facilities.
- Carry out administrative duties in a professional manner as assigned daily in Database updating, Filing, and Printing
- Handle incoming and outgoing office correspondence.
- Prepare meeting agendas; attend meetings to take notes and write minutes.
- Ensure reports are prepared on time, accurately and submitted on time.
- Ensure that the office premises meet health and safety regulations and standards.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Formal Certification in Secretarial/Office Administration (M)
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in a mining security department or related industry.
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong Attention to detail.
- Effective communication in English and Swahili
