STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of secondary school education. Possessing a Bachelor Degree in Human Nutrition will be an added advantage.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English language.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Sub Office Kasulu and the direct supervision of the Programme Associate, the Monitoring Assistant is expected to produce organised and accurate technical work and reports and may provide guidance on standard practices to other staff and counterparts in their area of work.
JOB PURPOSE
To facilitate effective implementation of supplementary feeding programs to target individuals and ensure programs are implemented as a guideline.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Supervise and support refugee nutrition volunteers in conducting both on-site and community nutrition screening effectively
Ensure provision of quality nutrition education and counselling to Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) beneficiaries i.e., pregnant, and lactating women, malnourished people living with HIV, moderate acute malnourished children,
Supervise and support refugee nutrition volunteers in delivering nutrition service in the implementation area.
Organize and ensure effective community outreach programs such as home visits and screening to eligible beneficiaries
Ensure food commodities are handled properly and distributed to eligible beneficiaries.
Compile Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) reports (quantitative and narratives) timely.
Perform any other related duties as required.
