KTO invites eligible candidates to apply for the following positions:
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support the organization in all monitoring and evaluation of activities undertaken by KTO. Successful candidate will support the Organization M&E manager in designing, and implementing the comprehensive M&E plans with appropriate indicators.
Reports to: M&E Manager
Major Responsibilities:
Providing support to the M&E Manager on monitoring, evaluation and learning
Assist the M&E Manager with development of the M&E Plan for programs, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and/ performance monitoring plans.
Supporting data collection, collation, storage, analysis, and reporting, ensuring that data is of high quality and audit worthy.
Responsible for supporting the preparation and review of program reports in collaboration with M&E Manager.
Manage research activities and ensure outcomes and lessons learned are integrated into the program and shared with relevant stakeholders.
Support the M&E manager to pprovide training and mentoring to partners and staff to ensure the implementation of strong M&E systems.
Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports
Support monitoring and evaluation of specific programmers;
Assist in the development of M&E tools and in supporting program team in their use.
Perform other duties as required;
Prepare and maintain data base
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, Social Sciences, demographics, public policy, international development, economics, or related field.
Minimum of five years’ experience in managing monitoring and evaluation for complex development activities and projects in the region, including working with donor programs
Experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting, database management, and developing M&E and/ performance monitoring plans.
Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies.
Experience in designing and managing beneficiary monitoring and database systems.
Fluency in English and Kiswahili is required.
Demonstrate ability to work effectively with communities, civil society, local government representatives and other stakeholders
Excellent relationship building skills and experience in a highly collaborative environment with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
2.Media and Communication Intern.
Media and Communication intern will assist the Communication Specialist in all internal and external communication of the organization. Successful candidate will be responsible for production of posts for KTO’s website, social media sites, and the development of other collateral materials that promote KTO’s work as per Job description.
Reports to: Communication Specialist
Major Responsibilities:
Develop content calendars on a weekly and monthly basis for the organization’s products/events/materials
Create engaging blogs and social media content
Assist in design advocacy strategies and plans, including facilitating stakeholders’ engagements
Support KTO to engage in outreach using relevant technology and innovative tools
Content generation – assist in collecting relevant information; identifying and developing powerful stories, effective quotes, captions and infographics for social media, KTO Newsletter and other platforms
Organizing Communication materials – Assist in collecting, selecting and organizing images and video footages for use in social media and other documentations
Assist in writing and editing contents for the KTO website
Events coordination – Support and collaborate with the program team in preparing materials, content and coordination of KTO training, workshops, meeting, launches and media outreach activities
Provide other support and assistance as required
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English and Kiswahili, both verbally and in writing
Demonstrate ability to conduct rigorous research and present information clearly and efficiently
Proficient in photography and visual editing. Graphics and designing proficiency will be an added advantage
Minimum of two years’ experience in social media management and media publications
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent relationship building skills and experience in a highly collaborative environment with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Duty Station:
KTO Head Office, Dar es Salaam with frequent travels to various project sites and FDCs across Tanzania.
