Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) is responsible for the maintenance and development of the trunk and regional roads network in Tanzania Mainland. The agency also conducts axle load control operations using weighbridge scales. The Regional Manager TANROADS Lindi, on behalf of the Chief Executive TANROADS, is seeking suitably qualified and competent Tanzanians to fill vacant posts for the project of upgrading the Nachingwea – Ruangwa – Nanganga Road (106km) to bitumen standard; Lot 1: Ruangwa-Nanganga Section (57.6km). Contract No. TRD/HQ/1012/2023/2024.

Materials Technician (1 Post)

Entry Qualifications:

Must be a Tanzanian Citizen.
A Full Technician Certificate (FTC) or Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
At least 2 years of experience in soil/materials laboratory work.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Carry out in-situ testing.
Monitor laboratory tests and trends.
Undertake calibration of equipment.
Prepare materials testing reports.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Materials Engineer.
Terms of Service:
Successful applicants must be ready to work for extended periods in Nachingwea District, where the project is located.
The successful candidates will be engaged on a 1-year contract for specific tasks.
