Lecturers/Assistant Lecturers

Positions and Disciplines:

• Sociology: 1
• Information Sciences: 1

• Theology (Systematic): 1

Reporting To: Head of the Department

A. Lecturer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct research, publish papers, and provide consultancy services.
• Deliver lectures and seminars; mark tests, assignments, and examinations; submit results in a timely manner.
• Guide junior staff on academic and professional matters, in addition to duties specific to the lecturer/research fellow position.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Education: Ph.D. in the relevant field.
• Academic Performance:
  • Master’s Degree: Minimum GPA of 4.0
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum GPA of 3.5
• Institution: Degrees must be from a recognized institution.

B. Assistant Lecturer

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Engage in research, publication, and consultancy activities.
• Conduct class lectures under the guidance of senior staff and lead tutorial seminars.
• Prepare teaching aids and materials, such as models and case studies.
• Organize and participate in departmental, college, and public seminars as directed by the department.
• Guide and supervise students’ projects and research tasks.
• Report to the head of the respective department/unit.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the reporting officer.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in the relevant field.
• Academic Performance:
  • Master’s Degree: Minimum GPA of 4.0
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Minimum GPA of 3.5
• Institution: Degrees must be from a recognized institution.
