Responsibilities

Ensure safe work practices by attending compulsory safety courses and meetings.
Work in a team to provide maintenance support to the process plant and mine.
Provide maintenance support for process equipment including crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, grinding mills, gravity concentrators, hydro cyclones, flotation cells and pressure filters to maintain optimum performance.
Monitoring equipment condition and escalating issues to prevent further deterioration.
Carry out routine maintenance, e.g. greasing/lubrication.
Carry out repairs and/or modifications to the plant components, including potential small fabrication work. Install, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment’s in safe and reliable condition
Service various equipment’s machines for infrastructure facilities and Examining bearings.
Assembling and fittings of various plant equipment’s (pumps, valves and pipes) to improve plant/mine site infrastructure performance.
Perform scheduled inspections on pumps and Plant/ mine site infrastructure systems
Performs required maintenance works on pumps and pipe works
Learn, understand and follow Health, Safety and Security Policies and Procedures

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Trade’s qualified as Fitter (FTC, IMMT&VETA)
Computer Literate – Proficiency in Micro Office products / Basic Computer Skills
Valid driving license
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

At least 3 -5 years’ Experience in Fitter role in Mining Industry
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent communication in English, both writing and verbal
Hazard identification and Risk assessment
Mine health &Safety Act awareness
Ability to work under pressure with minimum or zero supervision
Demonstrate Leadership and good teamwork.
Must be able to solve problems.
Ability to Read and interpret Service and Spare parts manuals and make technical drawings
