The Human Resources Office of Daqing Oilfield Constructions Group Company Limited (DOCG) informs all Tanzanians with the following qualifications and who are ready to work at the Marine Storage Terminal Project (MST) at Chongoleani.

1.0. Position – Civil Material Testing Technician (03 post)

1.1. Qualifications: –

• Experience in Civil Material Testing Laboratory minimum 3 years.
• Diploma or bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
• Strong math skills would be advantageous as sampling and testing can involve some brainpower.
• Accurate and consistent record keeping is required.
• Basic computer skills are necessary to document daily activities.
• Capability of effectively working with project team members. l Ability to work on multiple projects/deadlines.

1.2. Responsibilities: –

• Performing routine field and/or laboratory tests.
• Responsible for the field compaction testing, sampling and observation of soils, aggregate and asphalt.
• Performing concrete, grout, and masonry quality control tests through sampling and visual observation, performing slump, air, unit weight and temperature tests as well as cast specimens for compressive strength.
• Sampling of asphalt cores to verify thickness, density, and percentage air voids.
• Daily communication with project representatives, agency representatives, other technicians and project managers.
• Complete accurate and detailed field testing reports and/or diagrams.

The Contract shall be for a specific task for the whole constructions period of the project.

The place of work for this position shall be Chongoleani ward in Tanga city, Daqing Oilfield Constructions Group Company Limited (DOCG) will provide food and camp accommodations in our temporary facilities for these positions.It is mandatory for individual selected for this position to utilize the camp accommodations.
