ARTISAN- ELECTRICIAN- (02 POST)

JOB PURPOSE

To safely execute electrical maintenance work according to the prescribed standards ensuring the safety of self, others and Machines/Equipments

• To perform skilled electrical maintenance by providing technical services, to optimize cost, equipment availability, utilize own knowledge to the objectives of the operations
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical equipment and appliances, using hand tools and power
• Diagnose Machines and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
• Assist to determine critical spare parts in order to generate strategic critical list and reasonable stock level for spare parts.
• Help design, wire or re-wire electrical circuits to improve the reliability of the electrical equipments.
• Architectural or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment to ensure conformance of buildings and safety codes.
• Ensure Company Health and safety regulations are being observed and followed all the time Other duties as instructed by the Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• Holder of Secondary Certificate of Education (Form Four)
• VETA Level 3 Certificate as electrician or Holder of Trade Test certificate Grade one
• Minimum Five Years experience in Industries as electrician
• Ability to work with no supervision
• Extensive knowledge about plant preventive maintenance system, Electrical system, hand tools and industrial equipments
• Confidence, Flexible, Independence and Strong Technical Skills
• Team work, Interpersonal and Good Communication skills
